Equal Pay Day
Women in Leadership chair Gail Coates spoke at the Equal Pay Day event on March 4, an important conversation bringing together women, leaders, and allies to address pay equity in Utah.
Hosted by A Bolder Way Forward the event focused on honest discussion and practical action.
The conversation explored:
• What discrimination can look like in everyday workplace settings
• Resources and tools available today
• How individuals, organizations, and policy can help drive change
Events like this remind us that progress happens when voices are heard and leaders step forward to advocate for fairness and opportunity.
International Women’s Day Event with Lovable x SheBuilds
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Maven Salt Lake City hosted the Lovable x SheBuilds Women Event, bringing together builders, creators, and innovators from across the tech community.
The event welcomed developers, designers, product thinkers, founders, students, and allies for a day of hands-on collaboration and experimentation. Participants formed teams, explored new tools, and built creative solutions with support from mentors throughout the day.
The event became a space for learning, boosting technical confidence, creating connection, and shipping full web app builds. We even built our own showcase platform to amplify the builds our community is creating. Stay tuned for announcements and more events to come!
Highlights from the day included:
• Women creating their first builder accounts
• Learning developer terminology and build workflows
• Experimenting with rapid prototyping and iteration
• Testing builds on mobile
• Celebrating several first-time product builds
• Expanding the local builder network
• Discovering a new coworking and event space at Maven Create
Most importantly, the event helped spark a growing community of women builders committed to continuing the momentum through future sessions focused on security, testing, QA, and product launches.
March 13: A Day at Snowbird
Join us at Snowbird for an afternoon designed to create space for reflection, connection, and renewal through both conversation and time on the mountain.
We’ll begin with Seasons of Leadership: Why Sustainable Power Isn’t Linear, an intimate conversation exploring how women can navigate transitions in their lives and careers and transform those moments into deeper clarity, sustainable leadership, and meaningful impact.
After the discussion, we’ll move into Mountain Therapy Friday, an informal gathering on the mountain. Participants will ski together, pause for conversation, and close the afternoon with a grounding sound bath.

• 9:00 AM – Early Meet and ski together
• 12:00 PM – Meet and ski together
• 1:00 PM – Seasons of Leadership conversation
• Afternoon skiing and connection
• 3:30 PM – Sound bath
• Wrap up around 5:00 PM
Intermediate skiers and above are recommended, though you are welcome to join just for the sound bath.

March 19: Book Launch: People First AI Integration
